Building and maintain a good talent pipeline is difficult because the idea of talent management is continuously changing as time and technology transform the nature of work. It has consequently necessitated the development of a new talent management paradigm.

1. Set Clear Objectives - As a manager, it’s His/her job to ensure that the company’s goals and objectives are in sync with the goals of your workforce. First, employees must understand their responsibilities and the company’s expectations. Then, through efficient communication and teamwork, they can focus on the company’s primary objectives .
2. Offer Training Opportunities - Quality training programs should be a priority for companies to provide employees with opportunities for career advancement. Most companies have shifted to online training programs, allowing employees to learn at their own speed and time. They produce and distribute interactive learning content using training tools. Notable training tools could include micro - learning platforms, video training software, learning management systems (LMS) etc.
3. Conduct Performance Evaluation - As a manager, evaluate the team’s performance. Reviewing your employee’s performance allows you to offer constructive criticism. If an employee has been doing their job duties to a high standard, you should seize the chance to acknowledge and reward them. Many companies have switched from annual performance assessments to conducting them more frequently as a part of their talent management strategies. They use key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate past and current performances and readjust to meet their goals.
4. Focus on Employees Experience - A company's talent management plan should incorporate a comprehensive employee experience with lots of potential for advancement. Finding the most effective ways for your staff to support the long-term objectives of the business and overcome certain obstacles is crucial. However, this could change based on the workplace culture, hours, and benefits offered by the firm.
5. Adopt a Flexible Attitude - The workplace is rapidly changing. Practices like success hours and remote working are now almost standard across different industries. While this has resulted in improved work-life balance for employees, it has not been the same for the managers (Cloud, 2022)

To keep their finest employees for a longer period of time, businesses must adopt strategic talent management plans. Setting clear goals, providing training opportunities, reviewing performance, putting an emphasis on the employee experience, and having a flexible mindset are all necessary for this.
